The EVO is based on the original AlphaBOT. Main improvements are several hardware design changes improving durability and the integration of a basic light duty arm with three degrees of freedom.

AlphaBOT Original
The first approach. A simple driving platform with moveable camera head. Created in the beginning of 2021, all body components 3D printed.
The initial testing period took it’s toll, leading into a updated platform instead of refurbishment. Which was planned anyway, due to the original AlphaBOT’s lack of a grabbing device.
The robot was dismantled in July 2022, electrical components donored to the EVO robot.
The initial integration testing videos have been made with the original.
